Important:  Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is more than a vitamin.
Why? It regulates many functions in your body to make sure they're doing their best job in keeping you healthy!

There are 5 Reasons Why You Need Vitamin C Tablets...

Tablets compress the ascorbic acid or vitamin C powder in solid form. Tablets need fillers to make sure the powder sticks together. That’s not a bad thing by itself… keep reading to find out what fillers are safe...

Here are the advantages of vitamin C tablets over other forms of vitamin C...

  1. Saves money… tablets are cheap
  2. Easier to swallow… avoids acidic taste in the mouth and throat. The vitamin c starts to dissolve once it is in your stomach.
  3. More efficient...  your body stays protected longer since tablets slowly dissolve after swallowing, especially the time-release or delay-release tablets.
  4. Saves time... it’s quicker to take tablets than other forms of vitamin C.
  5. More convenient… easier to carry tablets with you in your pockets, and when you’re traveling

Traveling?... We've become experts at packing our vitamin C when we travel... here's a picture of how we packed our vitamin C to take on our most recent summer vacation...

Vitamin C Tablets and Other Substances

Here’s the thing. Tablets can contain other ingredients to help the body absorb vitamin C better.  And also to provide extra nutrients to the body.

Below are some of the substances that are most used.

Increase absorption

  • Bioflavonoids...found naturally in food, have potent antioxidant powers
  • Hesperidin… a bioflavonoid that helps with poor circulation also
  • Rosehips… fruit from the wild rose plant with many health benefits

Provide extra nutrients

  • Acerola… a fruit that also contains vitamin A, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin
  • Zinc… a nutrient to help your immune system be strong
  • Ferrous sulfate… a type of iron used to treat iron deficiency
  • Folic acid… also used to treat iron deficiency and help your body produce and maintain new cells
  • Glutathione...an antioxidant that has many health benefits
  • Garlic… a potent plant used to enhance immune function

But What about Fillers and Other Ingredients… Is it Safe?

It’s almost impossible to avoid taking supplements with no additional ingredients. Some of them are:

  • Fillers to hold ingredients together
  • Coatings to make them easy to swallow
  • Preservatives to extend life

This is the reason why it’s important to choose supplements that are safe. Here is more information about the safety of ingredients and fillers in supplements.

Best Brands of Vitamin C Tablets...

Vitamin C production is on the rise and there are many brands of vitamin C tablets.

Here are some of the brands that we use and trust the most:

  • Kirkland Vitamin C with Rose Hips and Citrus Bioflavonoid Complex (1000 mg)
  • Bronson Vitamin C 1000 mg Sustained Release
  • Now Vitamin C-1000 Sustained Release

Take Action...When Do You Need Vitamin C Tablets?

First, make sure you always have vitamin C tables available. It’s better to have any brand than nothing at all.

Your body needs vitamin C the most when you start to feel under the weather.  For example… first signs of a cold… a headache… allergies…. you name it.

When that happens, take a couple of 1,000 mg (1 gram) vitamin C tablets every 2 or 3 hours and do not stop until you feel better.

Your body is in constant need of vitamin C. And the vitamin C is quickly used by your body, especially when your not well... so you need to keep reloading your body with more vitamin C.

You will be glad that you did.
