Important:  Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is more than a vitamin.
Why? It regulates many functions in your body to make sure they're doing their best job in keeping you healthy!

Here's the thing. The most important thing I learned about nutrition and vitamin C deficiency is this... your body needs enough ascorbic acid or vitamin C for optimal health.

Enough to prevent and fight disease... not just to prevent a nutritional deficiency.

If you don't take enough, you'll be prone to many diseases. Also, staying healthy will be twice as hard.  I know because it happened to my family and me. And many other people!

In fact, vitamin C experts think many diseases today are symptoms of vitamin C deficiency!  This includes allergies, infections, colds, heart disease, mental disorders, even cancer.

It turns out that ascorbic acid or vitamin C is more than just a vitamin

Enough vitamin C regulates many functions in your body. ..to make sure they’re doing their best job in keeping you healthy!

  • Cardiovascular system - to prevent and even reverse heart disease
  • Skeletal system - for strong bones, cartilages, ligaments
  • Immune system - to fight infections, allergies, colds
  • Nervous system - to better deal with stress, anxiety, fatigue

Enough vitamin C can also protect your body from toxins and chemicals used in today's world. This helps your body prevent and fight genetic diseases like cancer.

But there's more!  Vitamin C is stress-responsive!  This means your body needs more under any type of emotional or physical stress. Yes, you can use vitamin C to fight disease!

Do you know most other animals and plants make vitamin C in the body? That’s right! And they make more when they’re sick! These animals and plants use vitamin C to fight disease as needed

Don’t worry. It’s not hard to learn to give your body the vitamin C it craves!

But first, you must learn how much vitamin C your body needs. And how much more you need when feeling sick so you go back to normal fast!

It’s like learning how much water to drink and when! And guess what? Ascorbic acid or vitamin C is one of the safest natural substances. Even at large amounts!

The great news is... once you give your body the vitamin C that it craves, your life will change.  You will rarely get sick, enjoy life more, and even delay aging!

Vitamin C Deficiency vs Scurvy

A vitamin C deficiency has many shades or degrees of severity.

The disease most associated with a vitamin C deficiency is scurvy.

Scurvy is almost a complete lack of vitamin C in the diet and has very specific symptoms or signs.

You're at risk of scurvy when the amount of vitamin C in your body is less than the low recommended daily amount, or RDA.  And if you starve your body of vitamin C, you can die.

The big problem is...

You can still have a chronic vitamin C deficiency and not show any of the signs of scurvy.

But how is that? Well, your body may have enough vitamin C to prevent the scurvy disease, but not enough to prevent disease in the long term. This is because your body has very specific needs of vitamin C. Every person is different.

The body needs of vitamin C is like the body needs of water. Some people need more water than others. If you're thirsty, you drink more water.  Some people need more vitamin C than others. If you don't feel well or are sick, you need more vitamin C.

The key is to learn to identify the needs of your body.

It's that simple.

Experts believe that most chronic diseases today are symptoms of vitamin C deficiency, or low vitamin C.  And this includes allergies, infections, heart disease, and cancer

Is a lack of enough vitamin C the only reason why people get sick?  Of course not, but low vitamin C can predispose your body to certain chronic diseases.

The Vitamin C experts

If you've read this far you are probably wondering who are these experts that I'm taking about?

The vitamin C experts are world-renowned scientists and doctors who dedicated their lives to study vitamin C and vitamin C deficiency related diseases.

Vitamin C experts include Nobel prize recipients such as Albert Szent-Györgyi, who discovered ascorbic acid, and Linus Pauling, who’s the only person awarded two unshared Nobel prizes in the world.

And here's the thing.

Experts also include many doctors who have used, and continue to use vitamin C in their medical practice.

These doctors use vitamin C to help their patients heal from many of the more severe chronic diseases that exist today.

Is Vitamin C More Than a Vitamin?

Vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, has many nutritional or "vitamin" benefits.

But ascorbic acid also has many other benefits to help your body prevent and heal from disease.

Here's the thing.

When you take enough vitamin C, you empower your body to better fight disease.

How?

Vitamin C stimulates the flow of electricity in your body.

Yes, your body has a physiological form of electricity, or energy. It happens when the cells within your body exchange electrons.

And this form of energy influences all your body functions.

Vitamin C is more than a vitamin. Dehydration requires water. Poor electricity flow in the body cells requires Vitamin C.

Electrons are always flowing in your body. Cells "talk" to other cells by exchanging electrons.

Health = high energy or high transfer of electrons
Illness = poor energy  or poor transfer of electrons
Death = no energy or no transfer of electrons

The great thing about vitamin C is that is enhances the flow of electrons in the body. So what do you do when you are sick? You stimulate the flow of electrons in your body. You take more vitamin C.

But how does vitamin C enhances the flow of electrons in the body?

Vitamin C has the ability to donate and receive electrons from the cells in your body. It optimizes the ability of the body cells to exchange electrons.

This is the main reason why vitamin C is more than a vitamin.  And why people need it in amounts much larger than recommended amounts.

Once you correct your vitamin C deficiency, all your body functions work in an optimal way.

This is because there is an optimal degree of electron exchange among cells.

Healing Powers of Vitamin C

The importance of vitamin C to the body is critical, and the benefits of always having the “right” amount of ascorbate in your body are just incredible.

Enough amounts of ascorbic acid are required to produce enough collagen, neutralize free radicals and detoxify the body.

Also, the benefits of vitamin C to heal the body are amazing.

Many scientific studies document the healing power of vitamin C on chronic diseases. And with no harmful side-effects. The list includes:

  • Cardio Vascular Disease (heart disease)
  • Cancer
  • Bacterial and viral infections
  • Nervous and mental disorders
  • Allergies
  • Skin disorders
  • Common cold
  • Aging

“There are more than ten thousand published scientific studies that make it quite clear that there is not one body process and not one disease or syndrome that is not influenced by Vitamin C”Emeritus Professor Emanuel Cheraskin, M.D. Ph.D.

How Much Vitamin C You Need?

The doses of vitamin C that your body needs depend on your current health, as well as your stress levels or how sick you are. Every person is different.

You need to find the optimal levels of vitamin C that your body needs to correct your vitamin C deficiency.

The great news is that vitamin C is safe and not toxic. Nobody has died from ascorbic acid toxicity. And the vitamin C side effects are minimal.

Unfortunately, the official vitamin C recommended amounts are extremely low. They do not consider you, as an individual, and the specific needs of your body.

“Although physicians, as part of their training, are thought that the dosage of a drug that is prescribed for the patient must be carefully determined and controlled, they seem to have difficulty in remembering that the same principle applies to the vitamins.”Linus Pauling, only individual to win two unshared Nobel Prizes

Best Way to Take Vitamin C

The best way to take vitamin C depends on your age, preference, budget and dose amount. And it also depends on convenience, or easy access.

Vitamin C supplements contain ascorbic acid. But it can mix with other substances as well.  Also, there are many forms including tablets, capsules, liquids and powders

And then there is liposomal vitamin C. The most powerful form of vitamin C taken by mouth. It compares to intravenous vitamin C.

Once you’re skilled at taking vitamin C, most likely you’ll use a combination of all forms.  This is to make sure you give your body what it needs when it needs it.

That’s been my experience and the experience of many people.

Vitamin C and Nutrition: Your Ticket to Full Health

We all need variety in our diets.  And there's plenty of food sources with vitamin C that have other important nutrients as well.

Important: You’re not doomed by your genes.

Research shows that your genes can change the way you feel.  And your genes change based on external factors. This includes the food that you eat, the things that you do, your environment, and your stress levels.

This means your diet affects your genes, and thus, how you feel.

Your genes do not control your health. You’re not a victim of heredity. You have control.

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” -Hippocrates, father of medicine

Facts on Vitamin C

Vitamin C is becoming "main stream".

Every day, more people become aware of the power of vitamin C to heal the body and protect it from disease. The facts on vitamin C don't lie.

And here's the thing, most people already "mega-dose" and they are not even aware.

For example, most manufacturers today sell tablets that contain no less than 1 gram (or 1,000 mg). Each tablet is more than 10 times the recommended daily amount (90 mg).

This creates huge pressure on the government, the medical profession and private sector. And medical literature is catching up.

There are thousands of scientific studies carried over many decades. These studies, when using the right amounts, prove the many healing benefits of vitamin C.

Why Most People Are Not Aware That A Lack of Enough Vitamin C Leads to Chronic Disease?

There's still many people that are not aware that low vitamin C can lead to chronic disease.  And the power that vitamin C has to heal and maintain full health.

There are several reasons why people are not aware.

But the reality is that many important medical discoveries are never immediately adopted. Instead, the old knowledge dies and the new one takes its place.

It took the medical profession 200 years to accept the cure of scurvy.  The "magic" substance inside citrus fruits, such as oranges and lemons. The substance that was later identified as ascorbic acid, or vitamin C.

Vitamin C has existed as a “vitamin” for so long that, for many people still, it can only exist as a vitamin. This is old knowledge.

Let's see how much longer it takes for this old knowledge to die.

“The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn.” - Alvin Toffler, Futurist
